Following the cease fire in Zalin (Qamishli), captives from both sides will soon be released.
The four Assyrian GPF fighters who were taken prisoners by the Kurdish forces are said to be handed to the Dowronoye, in order for the Dowronoye to release them.
Many Assyrians believe this is done to portray the Dowronoye as “saviours” – despite the fact that one GPF fighter in fact was handed over to the Kurds by the Dowronoye.
GPF did not accept this and said that they would not bring the captives from the Dowronoye. Instead, the GPF said that because it was the Kurds that took them as prisoners, it is the Kurds that must release them.
After the GPF took this stance, the latest news are that the Dowronoye are trying to speak to the relatives of the captives, so they can bring the GPF fighters from the Dowronoye.
