The self-proclaimed Kurdish authority, PYD, has begun to impose Kurdish curriculum on Assyrian private schools in Qamishli, Syria, as well as on the regim-controlled schools in the city. The PYD has, so far, translated some basic Kurdish school books into Syriac and is using its Assyrian puppets Dawronoye to impose them on the three Assyrian schools in the Qamishli.
The issue has now reached to the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch in Damascus because the Assyrian schools are acting under the umbrella of the church. Next Monday when a new school week is to begin we should have the response of the schools to the Dawronoye and their Kurdish masters.
