Journalisten och nationalhjälten Naum Faiq tvingades för hundra år sedan att emigrera till USA och fick aldrig mer återse sitt kära Assyrien. Söndagen den 5 februari 2012 hedrades hans minne med att inviga Assyria TV – som en värdig arvtagare till Faiqs ideal. Se detta klipp om hans liv och hans kamp för frihet åt det assyriska folket.

Dear friends, thank you for your interesting comments!
As to the issue of the Swedish written material, I want to inform you that you can get the entire website of Assyria TV translated to English by clicking on the British flag in our menu. It is not totally correct translation, since it is done by Google Translator, but still very useful. From Swedish to English you get a good result of translation.
You can do the same with our News Letters and get them translated by Google Translator manually.
Sincerely

Jag gratulera Er för invigningen av AssyriaTV. Valet av dagen kunde inte vara bättre. Våra förväntningar är att Assyria TV fortsätter i Naum Faiks fotspår att förena vårt folk.
Vi hopas att Assyria TV blir en opartisk TV- kanal och tjänar den nationella kampen.
Vi önskar er lycka till i ert arbete.

Ninus Amiri
My ASSYRIA TV and fellow Assyrian
Thank you for your newsletter.
I am Assyrian from Iran and read and speak assyrian in Madinkhaya dialect, I do watch your
programs and try to understand your dialect as well but not more than 50% of it.
Assyria TV programs are very good and informative likeThe interview with Miaqra Sabri and Miaqra Yalda with CAS(3 name Party) and Zowaa on 2nd of feb. 2012.
As well as for example your program showing how the religious denomination erased our name
such as smashing the letter A from our name Assyrian and maked it Syrian. which it clarifies
for many who do not have knowledge of our history, and it teaches them How our nation is broken and divided in 4 or 5 pieces and weakened our PEOPLE
I listened all and learned things, this is very good, because Assyrian people can learn for themselves from Assyria TV that what is going on with our people in our home land.
I unfortunately learned from your interview with miaqra Sabri and Yalda that still our people
have differences for example in the ATA(Flag) and etc. that upsets me.
Assyria TV will teach and will make changes in the Assyrian people and will make them to
understand that all of us are Assyrian nothing else
The Religion denomination have nothing to do in the politics, they must stay away and not to
interfer, by interfering in the affairs of our nation, they are doing evil the work of devil it is to devide and dominate, otherwise we all will loose the oppotunity.
Over and above, I can not read and understand Swedish, I would like your email in english
it is possible otherwise I can live with it
May God Bless you and help you in your affairs toward our Nation the ASSYRIANS, a Beautiful Name
My Best Regards
Ninus Amiri

bshayno Ninus,
I don't understand Swedish, too. I think it would be good if things are written in English.
By the way, my point of view is that our confessional denominations (churches) are not the reason and have never been the reason why our nation is weak and oppressed. Our churches are the biggest victims of persecution and destruction. Our churches are our people. Everyone is entitled to become a "kahna/kohno". A "kahna/kohno" is a son of this nation, brought up by parents of this nation. How the son will behave later depends much on the upbringing of the parents at home.
Our people (that is also our churches) have lived for centuries under the foreign yoke of others and we haven't shaken off this yoke yet. Our land have been a battleground for wars between empires (Byzantine/Roman/Macedonian-Seleukid and Persian) and for foreign invasions (Arab, Turkish-Ottoman, Mongol, Kurdish).
These wars and invasions brought with them the slaughtering of our people, the slow decimation of our community, the exploitation of our people, culture and knowledge, the destruction of our educational means and the colonization, seizure and occupation of our land.
God bless you
