Mr. Numan Oğur, an Assyrian member of PKK and officer at the Brussels based Kurdish Exile Congress (KNK), comments the development in Syria in connection to the PKK branch PYD. He would not admit any loss of the battle in Afrin, but blames Russia for treason against the Kurds. He still believes that the so called “Big Middle East Project” is going to be realized by the USA and Israel in order to change the current borders of some countries in the region. In that matter he still sees a good chance to establish a Kurdish state which they name “Great Kürdistan”, especially now that the Barzani clan is weaker after the referendum of September 2017. He also admits that the clan conflicts are the main reason behind the Kurdish failure.
