During the Assyrian summer camp organized in Belgium, Attiya Gamri from the Assyrian Federation of the Netherlands held a workshop adapted to the youth. She first gave some landmarks on the history of the Assyrians especially about the Assyrian genocides (Seyfo, Simele, …). She also explained the importance of continuing to speak our language in order to maintain the Assyrian identity alive in Europe. She told the young people why they should consider them selves belonging to the Assyrian Nation. Thus they can remain in direct contact with the Assyrians who live on the land of their ancestors: Assyria. Finally, the youngs had to work in different workshops and then present their work to the others.
