Kashira Yaqo, the son of the mayor of the Assyrian village of Khlelaneh in Nahla, tells about what happened after the illegal Kurdish building was demolished yesterday by Kurdish authorities. Assyrians from other villages travelled home, but members of the Kurdish Zebari clan attacked the Assyrian cars when passing through the Kurdish village of Bekerman by throwing stones on them. The Asayish-polis did not stop the Kurds from throwing stones. The electricity to the Assyrian villages, as well as the passing road, goes through Bekerman. The Kurds cut the electricity at 2 AM until 13.00 next day as a retaliation to the demolished building, which belonged to the Zebari clan. After this the Assyrian villagers are not allowed to pass through the Kurdish village of Bekeeman, but must take another way.
