The local residents of the Assyrian neighbourhood Wusta in Zalin (Qamishli) asked the Assyrian defence force Sootoro/GPF for more protection in any way they could following the terrorist attacks 30/12-2015.
In light of this inquiry, Sootoro/GPF established checkpoints around all of Wusta. The Kurdish Asayish forces did not allow this and asked from who Sootoro/GPF got the permission to build checkpoints. The Assyrian Sootoro /GPFforces responded that they did not need permission from nobody given that Wusta is an Assyrian neighbourhood.
Later that day, Asayish started destroying the checkpoints that were set up by Sootoro/GPF which caused an argument and consequently the murder of the Assyrian fighter Gabriel Henry David.
Despite the recent tension, there is nobody seeking an armed fight against the Kurdish groups or any other local group because the purpose of the defense forces is to stand in front of terrorist organizations seeking to destroy the country.
Given that barely a rat can enter through Kurdish controlled neighborhoods due to several checkpoints, local residents ask how Sootoro/GPF cannot be allowed to build checkpoints after the terrorist attacks that killed 16 and injured 35 people 30/12 2015.
The Sootoro/GPF fighters do not ask for further prayers, but rather more help in every feasible way. Not only moral support, but economic support too.
